Surface Finish Types & Technical Details:
- Stock Finish: Industry-standard stock finish with controlled roughness.
- For flanges ≤12″ diameter: tool radius 1.6mm, feed rate 0.8mm/rev, groove depth 0.06mm.
- For flanges ≥14″ diameter: tool radius 3.2mm, feed rate 1.2mm/rev, groove depth 0.1mm.
- Spiral Serrated (Phonographic) Finish: Continuous spiral groove; tool tip angle 90°, groove depth 0.4mm, feed rate (pitch) 0.8mm/rev.
- Concentric Serrated Finish: Multiple concentric grooves; tool tip angle 90°, groove depth 0.4mm, feed rate 0.8mm/rev.
- Smooth Finish: Fine, uniform surface for soft or composite gaskets—minimizes waviness, reduces embedment, and ensures even compression where smoother interfaces are required.
